2021 ARRL Field Day
The 2021 ARRL Field Day event has ended. We had a clear sky but it was hot. We had a good turnout of Club
Members this year. We setup the antenna trailer with the tri-band beam. We also setup the 20 foot tower with a 6 meter
beam and a 40 meter inverted V antenna.The 80 meter inverted V was hung from a tree. We did learn not all trees make
a good antenna mount.
Like other years, we ran all rigs from battery power. This time we used a very large 12 volt 200 amp Lithium Iron
Phosphate Battery with 50 watts of solar keeping the battery charged.
We would like to thank Jim Hartman's Mom for allowing us to use her building for this
